About Coronavirus COVID-19 – Update
Dear Eden family members and guests,
Due to the escalating situation of the COVID-19, The Texas Health and Human Services Commission has issued guidance for long term care facilities to follow in order to help reduce the risk of spreading the Coronavirus to the residents.
Effective Immediately, NONESSENTIAL visitors will be prohibited from entering the building, until further notice. This includes close family members as well.
The only exception should it arise, would be if a resident became severely ill and or the death is imminent.
We know that these restrictions are a hardship for our residents, as well as for families and friends, but they are fragile and most vulnerable, so we must take every precaution necessary to ensure their health, safety and wellbeing.
During this time, we will provide alternate means of communication (e.g. telephone conferencing, video chat, window visits, glass door visits) anything we can to promote ongoing contact between residents and their loved ones.
As per the State and Federal Guidelines, we have implemented necessary precautionary measures to ensure the safety and wellbeing of the residents and the staff and continue to closely monitor the developing situation and adopt to new changes and direction as soon as it is received.
We have also taken necessary steps to stock up on food, housekeeping and medical supplies and we have contingency plans to have adequate staff available if the need arises.
All of us are going through some very challenging and difficult times and trying our best to cope with the developing circumstances. During this time of crisis, we would like to assure you that your loved ones at Eden are in good hands and their health, safety and wellbeing is our top priority and we will continue to provide top quality care and comfort and look after them as we have always done. We know that, this crisis is temporary, and it will pass. We need to stay strong, take precautions, stay safe, help each other, respect the safety guidelines and pray for the safety and wellbeing of our brothers and sisters.
Please don’t hesitate to reach out to us if you have any questions or concerns. We will be available 24/7 to provide necessary assistance. We thank you for your continued support, understanding and cooperation.
